L-arginine & Fasting

L-arginine is an amino acid that plays an important role in the production of nitric oxide, a molecule that helps to dilate blood vessels and increase blood flow. Studies have shown that supplementing with L-arginine can help to improve blood flow and reduce inflammation, which may have benefits for heart health and exercise performance.

In recent years, some research has also looked at the potential effects of L-arginine supplementation during fasting. One study published in the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism found that taking L-arginine during a 72-hour fast increased the amount of growth hormone released by the body, which may help to promote muscle growth and repair. Other studies have found that L-arginine supplementation during fasting may help to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce inflammation.

It’s important to note that more research is needed to fully understand the effects of L-arginine supplementation during fasting, and it’s always best to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen.
